Tuatara and Ducklings and Takahē, oh my!
Some creatures, both familiar and less so, found at Zealandia Sanctuary. Zealandia is pretty cool, they’re working on restoring a large area of forest back to it’s original state.
Fun fact: Tuatara look like lizards, but are not. They’re the last remaining species on their evolutionary branch. Their common ancestor with modern lizards lived 200m years ago.

Queenstown: Third Edition
One day, I’ll stop posting different shots of the same scene. Today is not that day.
The nearby mountains, which I forgot to mention are rather aptly named The Remarkables, received a light dusting of snow overnight. I thought it provided interesting definition to the rocky peaks.
Queenstown: Second Edition
The same shot as previously, but this time overcast, with clouds rolling through the valley.
The colour of the lake changes dramatically depending on the weather – from crystal blue, through to a deep jade and to nearly black.
