Some creatures, both familiar and less so, found at Zealandia Sanctuary. Zealandia is pretty cool, they’re working on restoring a large area of forest back to it’s original state.

Fun fact: Tuatara look like lizards, but are not. They’re the last remaining species on their evolutionary branch. Their common ancestor with modern lizards lived 200m years ago.

I was lazy about booking hotels in Wellington, so we had to travel north to find accommodation for the weekend.

My laziness paid off.
