It’s time to go home and hang out with Jarvis and Ivy now.
Some creatures, both familiar and less so, found at Zealandia Sanctuary. Zealandia is pretty cool, they’re working on restoring a large area of forest back to it’s original state.
Fun fact: Tuatara look like lizards, but are not. They’re the last remaining species on their evolutionary branch. Their common ancestor with modern lizards lived 200m years ago.
I was lazy about booking hotels in Wellington, so we had to travel north to find accommodation for the weekend.
My laziness paid off.

I took this panorama from the top of the fake Eiffel Tower, in Las Vegas. The absurdity of the situation reminds me of the song Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas, by Brandon Flowers.
While I was in the area, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to check out the Grand Canyon, so here are a bunch of photos – they can’t do it justice, but you’ll just have to visit yourself!

Bourbon Street. Truly, the den of depravity and debauchery I had hoped for. Unfortunately, most of those photos are not fit for public consumption, so here are a selection that are.
