It’s time to go home and hang out with Jarvis and Ivy now.

Tuatara and Ducklings and Takahē, oh my!

Some creatures, both familiar and less so, found at Zealandia Sanctuary. Zealandia is pretty cool, they’re working on restoring a large area of forest back to it’s original state.

Fun fact: Tuatara look like lizards, but are not. They’re the last remaining species on their evolutionary branch. Their common ancestor with modern lizards lived 200m years ago.

I was lazy about booking hotels in Wellington, so we had to travel north to find accommodation for the weekend.

My laziness paid off.

I took this panorama from the top of the fake Eiffel Tower, in Las Vegas. The absurdity of the situation reminds me of the song Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas, by Brandon Flowers.
